How it works
Generate linear (1D) barcodes in the most common retail and logistics formats: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, ITF-14, GS1-128, MSI Plessey and POSTNET. Pick the format, enter the value and get a ready-to-use barcode.
Each format has its own rules —number of digits, allowed characters or check digit— and the tool validates the text before generating, warning you if something doesn't comply. You can adjust the height, scale, bar, background and text colors, and show or hide the value below.
The barcode is drawn entirely in your browser: the data is not sent to any server. You can download it as PNG or SVG, or copy it as an image to the clipboard.

Frequently asked questions
Which barcode format should I choose?
For retail products, EAN-13 (global) or UPC-A (US and Canada) are used. For internal labels, shipments or traceability, Code 128 and Code 39 are the most versatile. ITF-14 and GS1-128 are used on cases and logistics; POSTNET, in US mail.
Why does it tell me the value is not valid?
Each format has strict rules: EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits, EAN-8 needs 7 or 8, Code 39 only accepts uppercase and some symbols, etc. The tool validates the text and tells you what to correct before generating.
PNG or SVG?
For printing labels, SVG is preferable: it is vector and stays sharp at any size. PNG is convenient for screen or for pasting into documents. In both cases, avoid resizing the image by hand so the bars don't get distorted.
Should I change the colors?
You can, but to ensure readability keep dark bars on a light background with good contrast. Inverted or low-contrast colors can make many readers fail to recognize the code.
